Commercial Description:
Our Smoked Porter is a robust London style porter with a deep chocolate/ruby color and the subtle accent of hardwood smoked malt. This distinctive beer is brewed using no less than seven different varieties of premium European malted barley, resulting in a complex and full bodied beer characterized by hints of chocolate, coffee, caramel and beechwood smoke. The big malty finish to this beer is balanced by a solid hop bitterness and the refined English aroma and flavor of premium Goldings finishing hops.

(Bottle via trade with OhioDad, thanks Scott!) Rich and tasty...Dark cola brown body with three fingers of creamy tan head. Aroma of dark sweet chocolate and coffee. Mouthfeel very smooth, lightly oily. Rich bittersweet chocolate and coffee flavor with a note of cherry. Reminds me of TD Old Leghumper, just not quite as good by a hair.

Very good porter. Strong molasses aroma. Dark reddish black color. Sweet roasted molasses flavor with touches of dark choolate. Good lacing, thick pillowy mouthfeel. Lasting bittersweet duration.

Yet another bottle from Sean, thanks. Heres a shock, its black in color. Smell is plenty of chocolate and coffee, with a little bit of toffee and caramel. Taste is sweet, rich, and perhaps a little too sweet. Reminds me alot of an english porter which is not really my style. I prefer the much more bold american style porters, but this one is drinkable and certainly something I might not mind having a few more bottles of, but I wouldnt go out of my way.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, orangey brown with a lightly creamy, beige head. Alomost vinous, roasted malt aroma. Medium body with dark, roasted malty accents. Almost a bit coffeeish without ever being overly burned or bitter. 290806

Draft at Dilly Deli. Served too cold, so I had to wait for it to warm. Clean aroma of chocolate milk and dark roast. Flavor of coffee, dark roasted malt, molasses, and a hint of smoke. Very bitter and burnt malt finish, a little too much for my personal taste.

Bottled. Dark brownish red coloured. DEnse light brown head. Sweetness, cocoa, and light notes of caramel in the nose. Flavour is sweet and full of cocoa as well. Roasty notes and some herbal notes as well. Medium bodied. Bitter roasted in the end. Good one. Thanks Suiiy for the trade.

A pitch brown beer with a fast disappearing brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of both chocolate and caramel, but also hints of the alcohol showing off. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of stored fruits, and light notes of roasted malt and alcohol.
