Commercial Description:
Our Smoked Porter is a robust London style porter with a deep chocolate/ruby color and the subtle accent of hardwood smoked malt. This distinctive beer is brewed using no less than seven different varieties of premium European malted barley, resulting in a complex and full bodied beer characterized by hints of chocolate, coffee, caramel and beechwood smoke. The big malty finish to this beer is balanced by a solid hop bitterness and the refined English aroma and flavor of premium Goldings finishing hops.

Very dark brown, with a light brown head. An aroma of roasted malt with a hint of chocolate and coffee. Taste is very satisfying, the full body lingers on the palate, a thick malt sweetness. Has a taste of plum / raisin in the background, with just the right amount of hops for a satisfying finish.

Opaque, black color with a well-sustained, mocha head. Aroma of dark roast, light smoke, and soft charcoal. Dark, plummy fruit and buttery notes envelop the malt aroma. Flavor contains dark, raisin-like fruit, a touch of stylistically correct charcoal that pairs triumphantly with buttery, sweet caramel, earthy hops, and delicate smoke. Finishes nicely with a touch of dryness that is complemented by a firm and palate-filling malt sweetness. Body is full and round with some silkiness from residual sugar. Overall- I cannot say enough about this beer. There is nothing like having an intoxicating, complex aroma that is backed up by a flavor profile that includes all of the elements of the aroma and a few hidden surprises as well.

Roasty, mildly vegetal, salty aroma. Opaque back body with fair tan head that recedes to cover with ight sudsy lacing. Chocolate sweetness and roasty bitterness are well balanced. Medium-full body with moderate carbonation. Bottle enjoyed with MartinT, Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere.

Smells of chocolate and tastes of chocolate (and caramel and malt with a hint of smoke). Pleasant consistency and smooth, thick after coating with a bit of lingering bitterness. Just a hint of smokiness.

Nice mix of chocolate, malt, and coffee flavors. Not too strong of taste which I prefer in the porter style. Good appearance with great lace. Bought this one with a mix and match your own six pack. Would consider buying a six pack in the future.
