Commercial Description:
Our Smoked Porter is a robust London style porter with a deep chocolate/ruby color and the subtle accent of hardwood smoked malt. This distinctive beer is brewed using no less than seven different varieties of premium European malted barley, resulting in a complex and full bodied beer characterized by hints of chocolate, coffee, caramel and beechwood smoke. The big malty finish to this beer is balanced by a solid hop bitterness and the refined English aroma and flavor of premium Goldings finishing hops.

Another drain pour from Arcadia. Way past it’s prime, chalky, minerally, just plain nasty. Certified drain pour. Bottled in Feb 2007, according to their website. Selling old stock is a crime for craft beer drinkers. You have a lot of balls selling this old crap.

Large frothy tan head that left little lace and mostly lasted. Aroma has notes of malt, fruit, root beer, chocolate, and roasted coffee. Flavor is roast coffee and chocolate. Palate is soft and medium bodied. Great brew. Top notch porter.

Almost black pour with a roasted malt and chocoffee aroma. Dark brown head that fades quickly. Good coffeeness on the flavor but with hints of chocolate sweetness as well. Smooth rich palate full body. Just a slight off sourness on the aftertaste take away from this beer just a tad. Very nice brew.

Brown black pour with little head but good lacing. Smells like pepsi - not very enjoyable at all. Flavor is sweet and slightly roasted. Overly carbonated and malty sweet.

I found this porter to be thin in body and somewhat sharp and metallic in taste. For from the sweet, rich taste I expect from a porter.
