355ml bottle. Dark brown body with a nice beige head. Aroma is bitter malty with a pleasant hint of acidity (cellarnote). Flavor is a very pleasant mix of bitter chocolate malt and wild yeast. Full body and long finish.

Oct 9, 2008 Bottle courtesy of sloth. Pours brown with a thin tan head. Smells of chocolate, spice, brown sugar. Tastes of chocolate, cherries, hints of roasted malt.

Sep 23, 2008 Pours a nice dark caramelly brown, topped with a whispy tan head.
Strong malt aroma, lots of coffee, and some green olives.
Taste is mostly coffee and dark chocolate, and the alcohol is definitely apparent.
Silky and oily mouthfeel, with a nice medium body.
It has a bitter chocolate finish that unfortunately does not linger...

Aug 31, 2008 Bottle. Pours an opaque dark brown with a creamy thin tan head that dissipates quickly and laces the glass slightly. Aroma was coffee and chocolately malt I did not detect any smoke character. Nice roast character some sweet notes pretty basic. Medium bodied with a dry roast lingering aftertaste.
