Commercial Description:
Our Nut Brown Ale is a full bodied English-style brown ale with a deep mahogany color. We use six different types of premium malted barley to create a flavor that includes hints of chocolate, raisins, dates and almonds. The malty sweet finish is balanced by a smooth bitterness and a subtle fruitiness in flavor and hop aroma.

Bottle... Clear burnt orange ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Beefy, chocolaty nose with yeast and medicinal notes. Flavor matches the nose with moderate sweetness. Medium-bodied and a bit oily with weak carbonation. Finishes brothy and modestly sweet.

From a 12-ounce bottle it poured a dense, hazy dark brown color with only a slight tan head. Malty aroma. Medium body with reasonable mouthfeel. Overall dry character - slightly bitter hops and somewhat dry dark malts but with an early caramel malt sweetness. a reasonable Nut Brown.

Draft sampler. Rating #995! Brown in the small glass, but with red highlights. Thin head. Sweet fruit notes, with some plum and fig. A good hop balance means its bitterness is hard to pick out. Low carbonation. aqctually the best fit to the BBQ beef brisket I had there.

draft sampler at the brewery - Pours a medium translucent brown with a thin head. A mild caramel malt aroma gives way to a similar mild flavor. Medium bodied and smooth, it’s nothing exciting, but is pretty good for quaffing.

Brown amber color, slightly hazy. Fizzy beige head that collapses and leaves a thin veil. Aroma is sour malt. Flavor is fruity and sour as well. Bitter and acidic finish. Body is fizzy, thin, and watery. This must be a bad bottle... 12 oz bottle, $1.50+tax from Jungle Jim’s.

NIce dark amber color, malty flavor, roasty, very smooth mouthfeel. Alcohol is mild, could have a few of these easily

More walnut than almond. I enjoy the strong nut note. Big bubble carbonation. Light, dry with faint metallic and acidic apple/fruit peel notes. Appeal faded as I drank this.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a medium brown color with a large tan head. The aroma is moderate roasty malts. The flavor is moderate roasty malts and a hint of caramel. A fairly basic brown ale.
