| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 23, 2006 Nothing exciting here. Mainly a watered-down version of a classic brown. Hints of almonds in the flavor, but overly spritzy and thin bodied. Stick with the IIPA, Porter, or Stout, instead. badnewsbeers (1026), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 1, 2006 This nut brown was only lightly nutty and was slightly sourish. Dark and malty, there was clearly no skimping on the grain bill. Enjoyable, with some light hoppiness. A good call if you’re a brown ale fan. Well done with lots of complexity. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 31, 2005 Brown Coloring with Red Tints and Beige Head. Light Aroma of Nut and Chocolate. Pretty Much the Same on the Tongue...Nice Malty Background with Hints of Chocolate and Nut..Bit Bitter/Sour Overall. Still Session Drinkable. badgerben (3610), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 10, 2005 Dark brown color with no head. Aroma is a quiet chocolate and nuts combo. The taste is a mix of bitter (hops) and sweet (chocolate). There’s almost a bit of sour in there. The nut taste fades away very quickly. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 8, 2005 Translucent mahogany appearance is foreshadowing for the thin body. Aroma is soft and subdued - noting caramel, chocolate and nut. Thin mouthfeel takes away from what is there - sweet chocolate malts and hazelnuts. Good, but more of everything would make it great. thegreenrooster (1848), St.louis, Missouri, USA

It spilled over my 18 oz glass and i poured it correctly. Aroma is some notes of caramel but noting really stands out. Flavor is somewhat nutty and dark fruit but nothing to write home about. Considering half of this brew is on my kitchen floor right now i hope that part is better than the part in my glass. Not too good.
