Commercial Description:
Our Nut Brown Ale is a full bodied English-style brown ale with a deep mahogany color. We use six different types of premium malted barley to create a flavor that includes hints of chocolate, raisins, dates and almonds. The malty sweet finish is balanced by a smooth bitterness and a subtle fruitiness in flavor and hop aroma.

Pours medium to dark brown with hints of ruby and almost no head. Aroma of nuts, caramel malt and vanilla. Flavors of the same, but also a bit of medicinal taste. From a Beer of the Month club, so maybe a little old. Mild to moderate in the hop flavor.

Maybe my bottle was rotten, but I’d honestly rather have a Newcastle out of a paper cup. Over malty and lifeless. Cloying and flat.

not as impressed with this offering, coffee/chocolate with a bit of bitterness at the end.

Arcadia Nut Brown Ale will work in a pinch. It is not a great Ale, but will do when no others can be found.. (g)

Poured a thin looking dark brown ... too clear, and obvious from the pour that it was going to be thin in the mouth. No head. Some flavor of malt, some moderate chocolate, some floral hops, but, well, not much flavor of any kind. Sour finish. I would drink this if it were a 3.8 session beer, but otherwise it is pretty much without charm. Watery but inofennsive.

Dark brown color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is caramel and sweetish. A medium bodied brown ale. Malts are caramel and sweet. Somewhat flat tasting, little to no carbonation. Also a little watery and thin tasting. There is a touch of spicy hops at the finish. Not a very interesting beer. The word uninspired comes to mind. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is sweet.

Pours (you guessed it) brown with no noticeable head. Taste is a bit watery, but very nice.

Flatness must be this brewers trademark. Barely a head and I pored straight into the glass. Just like the IPA, the aroma and Flavor are pretty good, but not nearly enough to overcome the flat beer.
