Commercial Description:
Our Nut Brown Ale is a full bodied English-style brown ale with a deep mahogany color. We use six different types of premium malted barley to create a flavor that includes hints of chocolate, raisins, dates and almonds. The malty sweet finish is balanced by a smooth bitterness and a subtle fruitiness in flavor and hop aroma.

Bottle. Pours a dark redish brown color. Short lived light tan head. Minor lacing. Mildly fruity aroma. Nutty flavor. Somewhat bitter with nice dry finish. Solid beer. Not my favorite from this brewery, but then again its hard to get excited about a brown.

Bottle an extra in a trade. Pours a brown amber body with a off white head. Sweet caramel malt, light nuttiness, chestnuts, and a lingering light coco. Dark fruity esters, thin body with a sweet lingering, hops are subtle and hardly distinguishable.

Shared with the boys for Cellar Reduction #3. Hazy brown pour with near white big bubble head. Aroma has some heat on it. Flavor is malty and nutty, but comes off as having a vegetal twinge. A little less than average.

Smells dark and bitter. Tastes kind of skunked. Mild caramel malts and bitter hops with a watery feel.

12oz bottle. dark ruby with a thin tan head. sweet malt aroma. must be an old bottle, not sure how to read the notches on it. taste seems off with and watery not a lot of flavor. I’ll try again with a fresher bottle.

12oz given to me by a buddy at a frisbee game - thanks, Steve! Fairly average looking pour, with some lively carbonation and a quickly fading head. Nose is more fruity than I would have anticipated, with not a very strong malt presence. Things are a bit more sweet and toasty to taste, but overall there’s not much personality to this one.
