very dark brown pour, minimal head. Aroma is mild roast,malt and hints of earth. Flavor is basically a subdued version of aroma with a bit of wood. The fact that the malt/peat thing is not there disappoints. ABV is well hidden. Not bad but not stellar.

Pours very dark brown almost black with a thin cream head. Smells very bready with some sweet malt. Very thick palate. Flavor has chocolatey malt taste but also a flavor I would describe as a cleaner of some sort, as if the lines were just cleaned prior to bottling and some got into the beer. I can’t smell it but it is definitely in the flavor. This type of thing makes me not want to buy this brewery’s beer since the quality control must not be too good.

12 oz bottle that has seen better days. I can’t imagine that this is the beer that Arcadia had envisioned and I’m hoping that I simply got a bad, I mean real bad, bottle. Even though it was upright in my fridge for about two weeks it immediately began slowly gushing over once I opened it. From there I could only pour about nine ounces into my pint glass because half of the pour was rocky, spongey head. Aroma was olives!! Black and Spanish, martini anyone? Flavor was worse, acidic, tangy and all around unpleasant. I drank it all anyhow, after all I AM A SCOTSMAN!! If I wasn’t a Scot it would have been a drainpour!!

Bomber: pours dark ruby and brown, roast, toast and dark malt aromas, some caramel and earthy fragrances, roast and dark malt flavors, chocolate, honey and brown sugar flavors, not a lot of sweetness, some taste of dark bread, some hops on the palate, more flavors in this brew then the nose lets on to, thought I was going to be disappointed based on the aromas but the flavors were big, little bit of alcohol in the sip, not a bad Scotch.

Thick head, creamy. Aroma bready, with chocolate and coffee smells. Tasted like wood, a little bit, with a strong alcohol presence. Not bad, but, not great.

Not sure if other raters drank the right beer. This is phenomenal. Clear auburn color, aroma masks the complexity inside. Chewy feel. Upon swallowing one gets an immediate coffee mocha taste, then a mellow sweetness followed by a subltle hoppinewss

strong booze scent and strong booze taste left on the palate, but i did enjoy this a bit. from a bottle so did not get a good look at it but wasnt bad strong flavor for sure. a BIT to sweet for my liking but enjoyable at least andd drinkalbe

Dark brown, cola-like, absolutely no head -- looks like dirty tea/water. Smells very little, mildly of chocolate, cedar, smoke and caramel. Tastes strong, sweet chocolate, red clay, nuts and toffee. A little too-strong, one-dimensional. No foam, flat. A cloying ale.
