Commercial Description:
Step into the Scottish Highlands with this authentic Strong Scotch Ale. A lovely and deep garnet color is joined by the aroma of plums and toffee in this unique and special ale. Brewed with Maris Otter malted barley from Crisp Maltings, Ltd. in England, the rich and full-bodied feel of this beer brings out flavors of caramel and roasted chestnuts, which is balanced with a clean and crisp alcohol finish, and just the right amount of lingering hop bitterness. A real treat!

Not bad, but not the best scotch I’ve had. Sort of mucky, a little sweet and... not really blowing me away. I like this style when it’s done very well but I’m not crazy about this one.

(bottle - 12 oz) Dark copper color with not much head or carbonation. Aroma is full of chocolate, toffee, roasted malts, and some sugar. Flavor is very sweet and malty with some chocolate and caramel notes and a very warming finish. Aftertaste is a little like cough syrup.

Bottle from Craig. Thanks. Pours out a dark brown color with a small light brown head on it. Smell is full of chocolate, malts, caramel, and sugars. Taste is sweet and seemingly over rich. Pretty drinkable though, even for the sweetness. Thanks Craig.

12oz bottle, Very nice color and a deep taste, good scotch ale, Very full in body and lots of malt, i taste alot of the alcohol which is surprising since its only 7.5%. definite caramel notes shining through... a good brew.

Hey not bad. Pours out a nice deep brown color with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet, rich and full of malts. Flavor is a bit robust. Hints of roasted malt, roasted nuts, and semi sweet choco. I like this one. Not bad at all.

Pours a dark amber with an off-white head that is pretty thick with good retention. The aroma is lightly fruited with some caramel malts. The flavor is somewhat sweet, with some spiciness to it. Cinnamon, I think, is the best way to describe it as the spice is not harsh like pepper or jalapeno. Very little hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is slightly sticky, but relatively clean on the finish. Pretty solid effort, but I have no experience with this style.

12 oz. bottle via trade with Pailhead - Pours a light brown color with a 1/2 finger thick off white head. Very light spotty lacing. Aroma is slightly vinous, light plum, and caramel malt. Flavor is light esters and alcohol. Medium body. Worth a try. Thanks Kevin.

Had this with ross and daniel. This stuff is pretty decent actually. Pours out a deep brown with a decent sized head to her. The beer opens up with some light roasted malty sweetness and possible some caramel in the background. Taste is more smoky and roasted malts with a bittering finish where the hops come into play. Pretty dang good.
