Sep 27, 2009 Sampled at 2009 WIU Performing Arts Society Beerfest. Cloudy, yellowish amber with a small white head. Mild caramel malt nose with a little sour grain/wheat. Flavor: light caramel and toffee, some very light citrus. Didn’t pick up any rye at all, really. Too carbonated to boot.

Sep 20, 2009 Pours a transparent orange golden with a spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet toasty pale malts and a touch of rye with a good dose of grapefruity hops. Starts with good fullness and malty sweetness with a nice rye character and good fresh hop balance with a hint of orange. Finishes crisp and bittersweet. A nice hoppy rye ale.

Sep 19, 2009 ( 22oz bomber courtesy of bu11zeye) Pours clear yellow/orange with an oily film of bubbles on top. Nose is very piney hops. Taste of grapefruit oils this beer is missing its malt component! Water and overall not very good for me.
