May 23, 2009 (22 oz. bottle from Bootleggers) Pours hazy goldish amber with a tall lightly yellowish off-white head. Aroma of rather sharp pine and rye, a bit of dishrag. Mouthfeel fairly smooth, a bit sticky. Flavor of pine and rye - like a big IPA with rye and some dishrag. Fairly bitter toward finish. Overall just doesn’t come off very well to me.

May 23, 2009 Pour is a bright golden with a large white head. Aroma is of mostly grain with a slight hop backbone. Flavor is again mostly dry grain with a little citrus and hop resin. I could not detect any rya at all. This is just ok an nothing i would need again.

May 19, 2009 IPA-ish. Hoppy. Amber color. Citrus aroma but not too intense. Bit of sweetness to some light malts. Nice overall.

May 13, 2009 Poured a light golden color with average head and bad lacing. Aroma was of citrus hops, Flavor was much the same missing the rye in my bottle i guess tasted like a run of the mill IPA. Would have been a good grass cutting beer.

May 7, 2009 Poured a pale yellow color, decent initial head, splotchy lacing. The aroma was citrus hops, some piney notes under it all. The flavor came across like a pale ale to IPA, not a lot of rye, except maybe in the finish, but could easily be confused with the hoppy dry finish if I didn’t see "rye" written on the bottle. Mouthfeel was moderate to light, clean finish, some grains and bready elements coming through. An ok pale ale, imo.

May 6, 2009 22oz bomber. Pours a clear glowing golden with a fluffy medium white frothy head with nice lacing. Aroma of fresh citrus hops and lightly caramelized grains slightly spicy rye. Flavor is excellent and quite clean, great citrus hops, grapes, light grapefruit, super juicy, pine, lovely soft maltiness, lightly bready, always love the spicy depth rye adds. Fantastic mouth feel, medium bodied, medium/light feel, very soft larger carbonation with a quick sizzle. Delicious and super quaffable. Fantastic balance.

Apr 21, 2009 Bottle - Pours an applie juice (not cider) color. Clear with an off white head that turned into a nice frothly cover. Very heavy lacing. Strong earthy aroma. Flavor of pine and grass. Very hoppy. Dry finish. Lingering IPA mouthfeel. Totally agree with everyone who said this felt more like an IPA. I’ve had a couple rye beers that I didn’t care for however this was excellent. Didn’t sense the rye at all. About the only thing bad I can say was clear vs cloudy. Regardless of the name this was an excellent beer that I hope to try again.
