Commercial Description:
In honor of our adventurous friends at Sky Dive Inc. in Hastings, Michigan, we crafted a truly adventurous brew in Sky High Rye. A West Coast-style Pale Ale with rye malt, Sky High Rye boasts a massive floral aroma of resinous hops. The hops contribute flavor notes of lemons, peaches, and pine needles, combined with the sweet, malty flavors of toffee and bread. Rye adds a pleasant peppery, spicy note like a fresh slice of pumpernickel bread. Very well-rounded and very drinkable, Sky High Rye will surely inspire adventure in all who taste it.

Sampled at 2009 WIU Performing Arts Society Beerfest. Cloudy, yellowish amber with a small white head. Mild caramel malt nose with a little sour grain/wheat. Flavor: light caramel and toffee, some very light citrus. Didn’t pick up any rye at all, really. Too carbonated to boot.

Pours a hazy orange tinted deep golden color with a 1/4 inch dense white head that really lasts. Aroma has a light peppery, peaches come through, some mild rye notes with a grassy hops nose at the end. Flavor has a fantastic rye malt bite, a very smooth grassy/earthy hops note, mild peach sweetness that really works with a mild peppery bite, ends with a light caramel malt note. A modest body with a sugary dense texture and very fine carbonation. Overall a very solid offering by Arcadia.

Solid amber body with a creamy head. Floral and rye nose gives way to a bounteous floral hop flavor with distinct rye accents and citrus and apricot hop bursts. Puissant and ethereally hoppy.

Bomber. Beautiful orange pour with a frothy, clingy white head. Aroma is mainly citrus. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Lots of fruity hop, and spicey malt underlaying that. It’s very delicious, and the rye really comes out as the hop washes away. Little hot bits pop up. This finishes very floral/fruity, and it’s just excellent. The rye note is everpresent. Love this stuff.

Fairly light in color as rye beers go. Hoppy, citrus nose. Clean, pine-sol like spicy flavor (in a good way). Interesting take on the style.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. The smell is rye, malts, hops, pine, fruits, and caramel. The look is golden in color and whiitish head. The taste is ok in bitterness, nice rye, pine, and hops.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Clear orange pour. Aroma is rye and some soap. Flavor is astringent and somewhat yeasty. Kinda bland.
