BBB63 (4198), La Porte, Indiana, USA Mar 22, 2009 2009 MiBGWF: Hazy amber copper hue with a minimal head and little lacing. The aroma smells of cough syrup, booze, carmel, spice, some acidic fruits. The taste has a big malty forefront with a boozy finish. Some minerals and bittering hops found about. The mouth feel is syrupy and heavy with a very warming tendency. I wish this had a little more overall character and depth, too one note and a bit cloying, Tmoney99 (4655), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Mar 15, 2009 Draft sample at MBG Winterfest 2009.
Poured hazy copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy sour citrus hop and small malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy citrus bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration.
Very good brew.
