Bottle best before "C 0" whatever the hell that’s supposed to tell me. The pour is fairly black with ruby tints. The aroma is a little rough with suggestions of cola, wax chocolate, and metal. However, I do get some roasted coffee and toasted nuts. I didn’t find much oat character in this one, it’s a bit more subtle than in other examples of the style. Nut shells, cheap coffee, and some chocolate are noted in the flavor along with loads of soy sauce. The finish is a bit rusty and almost salty. I thoroughly enjoyed their London Porter. I think this offering falls a little short.

12 oz. bottle. Pours dark brown with a medium tan head that diminishes to a small crown. The aroma is roasted malts, oats, chocolate, light smoke, and the slightest hint of hops. The flavor issmooth and sweet. The oats are noticeable. Other flavors are milk chocolate, coffee, and light hop bitterness. Medium mouthfeel. Overall impression of this one is that it is pretty good.

Bottle: Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Aroma, roasty, chocolate, some oats. Flavor, oats, chocolate, some coffee, sweet with some bitterness on the end. Smooth and creamy, this is pretty good.

Nice strong roasted malt, Chocolate, coffee aroma. A very light touch of smoke aroma also. Poured a dark brown/black. Nice foamy tan head that quickly receded into a thin foamy cap. Left nice lacing. Tasted of oatmeal, malt, milk chocolate, very faint hint of smoky flavor. Light body, thin yet creamy texture, mild carbonation. Abrupt dry finish with a very pleasing, yet short bitterness. A nice, mild stout. Served in a Pint. I liked this stout. I would buy again. A good job by Arcadia.

Almost black in color with a small light brown head head. Aroma is of chocolate and dark fruit. Taste is somewhat astringent and acrid, with chocolate and tart fruit. drinkable.

Bottle shared with Blankboy, his bottle. Black, decent sized brown head. Really dry doughy oatmeal aroma. Taste - ok - real sour edge but lots of dry stouty goodness too. I tend not to care for the sour edge found in these types of stouts. Ok.

Pours very black with ruby hues on the small edges with a thin fluffy light brown head. Aroma of sweet roast, foamy oats, and a hint of smoke. Taste is chocolate, roast, foamy, with a soft oat quality. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with lush carbonation. A bit roastier than I had hoped.

Found this one bottled at Binny’s in St. Charles, Illinois. Very dark brown, opaque pour with a nice, thick tan head. Sweet coffee, charcoal smoke and bitter chocolate in the nose, which carried neatly into the flavor, enhanced by a bit of dark cherry and roasted nuts. Very nice stout.
