Clear dark red. Not much head or lacing. Roasty flavor with a silky texture. Not much else going on.

Not a bad beer. Roasty, malty, smooth oatmeal flavor. As many have said, an average stout, nothing to get worked up over.

Uniformly middle of the road. Unpretentious as it is unchallenging. The epitome of okay. It’s a stout, it’s thin, it has roast malt and hops and thereafter the nuances that might have come to be turn and flee

This was a very thin acidic stout that tasted just a bit funky and off. Pours very dark brown, glowing red around the edges with a off-white head. Light cocoa up front with a lighter roastiness to it. The acidity throughout took away from its smoothness.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Opaque, completely black with a brownish head. Malty and slightly vinous - port wine - aroma. Very malty, slightly ashy flavours with notes of both coffee and chocolate. Surprisingly light body, almost watery, and absolutely no bitterness. 170705

Fairly straightforward and obviously a stout, very malty of course. Suprisingly dark in colour, but not too thick or anything. A little richer than, say, guiness, and a little more complex. But nothing exceptionally good or bad.

12 oz. bottle: Pours a nearly opaque black with a tan lasting head. Aromas were mostly coffee and chocolate, the normaly aromatic and floral Cascade hops were masked by these, but you still got a hint of them. Flavor showcases the hops a bit more, especially in the finish, but is still underbalanced with the coffee and dark chocolate. Mouthfeel could be thicker, but overall an OK beer.
