Brown with light swirls of a head. Some spots of lace. Chocolate and roast malts in the nose with some bitterness. Slighly astringent coffee notes. The flavor is bitter and slightly astringent again. Cocoa and roast malts are around. Dry, thin body and a roasty finish.

Dark muddy color, then head with oily lacing. Nose of dark roast and light mocha chocolate notes, almost like a light city roasted coffee. The flavor is dusty but with a lactic light sweetness. The finish is also a bit dry with more roasted husky character. Not too bad but not that great.

weak. Not dark enough nor rich enough to be a quality stout. Smells of coffee and has a bitter ending to it.

Roasty maltness and coffee bitterness. Kinda thin in the middle and ends a little weak.

The second bottle I opened, was also a gusher. This time I didn’t drink it, so this rating is based upon the first bottle. Taste is light dry coffee up front with a strange light bitterness. For a sweet stout, it’s more bitter than it should be. Perhaps the bottle was slightly tainted. Gotta try it again on tap somehow.

Bottle. A gusher upon opening. This frightens me from the get go. Black colored with an oversized brown fluffy head which has no choice but to leave lacing behind. Thin roasted malt aroma. Overcarbonated on the palate. Sparse roasted malt flavor of coffee and chocolate. Lacking in body. I suspect this is infected and will have to try again.

Creamy head, roasted malty aroma. Sweet front end and faint chocolate finish. Average for the style.would not bother to buy this one again.

Pours black with a big tan head that lasts awhile. Strong coffee aroma wtih hints of licorice. Flavor is all black coffee. I repeat I am not a fan of coffee. Just o.k.
