Another worthy beer by Arcadia. This one is working its way to greatness. The mix just needs a bit more tweaking. It’s rich and smooth and tasty though.

Foam Rangers January meeting. Dark brown pour with large head. Nose of chocolate, pitted fruits and roasted malts. Flavor is bitter chocolate and coffee. Thin mouthfeel.

Bottle: Poured a Dark Brown a lot of head. So much head I couldn’t pour half of the bottle into the glass. After waiting 5 minutes to get all of the beer into the glass b/c of the head, the aroma was that of Chocolate expresso. The flavor was very good, tasted like roasted cocoa and hints of coffee. Very good beer.

12 oz bottle pours dark brown with hefty tan head. Aroma is strong with roasted malts, chocolate and dark fruit notes. Flavor is ok chocolaty with a bittersweet finish, mouthfeel is much lighter than I anticipated. Nothing special.

Thanks to hopdog for passing this one onto me. This one is a gusher! Pours a deep black with a huge frothy/foamy/bubbly deep tan head that laced. Aroma of cocoa powder, tropical fruit, some citrus notes, roasty. Flavor was a mix of the same with just a touch of some tart cherry (I think some infection may have began to set in on this one based on how this thing gushed and that touch of tartness I’m getting). Although it seems to compliment the flavor.

Black color tan head. Has that odd arcadia aroma of sweat. Powder cocoa flavor with dry astringent finish. Thin body carbonated mouthfeel.

aroma is strong but not pleasant. It appears to be a good beer. Flavor is blah. Body is less than blah and the finish is just plain crappy. This brew showed me nothing. and left me with less than that. Arcadia is proving to be a poor brewery.
