(Bottle 35,5 cl) Opaque, completely black with a brownish head. Malty and slightly vinous - port wine - aroma. Very malty, slightly ashy flavours with notes of both coffee and chocolate. Surprisingly light body, almost watery, and absolutely no bitterness. 170705

12oz bottle acquired in trade. Poured a dark black color with a larger sized brown head. Aromas of chocolate, roasted malts, and very light oat. Tastes of roasted malts, chocolate, oatmeal, and a tin. The metallic tinniness completely threw me off. Lacing left on the glass.

This beer rocks! Pitch black! Mid-sized, frothy, lightly-tanned head. Partially lasting. The nose is of rich English chocolate with a touch of cinnamon, vanilla and maple syrup. Perfect! Well-balanced with loads of vanilla and milk chocolate in the flavor. Acetic and lightly bitter with dark roasted coffee notes as well. Full-bodied with a very creamy mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Lengthy, burnt/roasted finish. Perfect balance remains until the very end! A world-class Stout! Underrated!
