Crafty07 (333), Lexington, Kentucky, USA Mar 27, 2008 Poured from 12 oz bottle that must have been tossed around before I purchased it as it exploded into 6 inches of head when I poured it into my pint glass!
Other than the champagne-like opening, it’s a nice chocolate malt, sweet stout.
I’d drink it again...but pour it in an imperial pint glass!
esjaygee (711), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Aug 7, 2008 Lifeless deep brown with a very thin head around long enough for me to type this sentence. Aroma of roasted malts, smoke, pear and sweet malts. Taste of deep roasted malts, coffee with a semi bitter finish. hombrepalo (433), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 1, 2008 12 oz bottle. A nice caramel colored head atop a black body. Sweet caramel and irish creme aroma. Hoppy flavor in a pretty good overall stout. Chocolate and dryness are both enjoyable, with a nice dark appearance and head. There was something there I didn’t really care for.
rocbyter (604), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA Jul 1, 2008 Oaty robust malt aroma. Very dark amber color with a large dark tan head. Chocolate bitterness in the beginning with a milder finish. Light palate. thegreenrooster (1452), St.louis, Missouri, USA Jun 6, 2008 Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is has a nice dark chocolate and coffee combo. Flavor is some roasted malts and a whole lotta watery. Very light for the style and nothng really outstading. This brewer is either a big hit or big miss. Rogueone (355), I F&ckin’ hate those guys from, Ohio, USA May 19, 2008 On nitro @ brewpub: Pours dark, creamy tan head as you’d expect. Smells sweet, and of caramel malts. A bit watered down (maybe due to nitro), but flavor is heavily roasted malt, toffee, and a bit spiced overtop chocolate malts. Not bad.
