Very fizzy body that is also hazed copper with little bits of what look like ground up seeds. Aroma is almost sour malty belgian like a malty saison. But that fades and I start to get more old water and twigs. Flavor is more like initial aroma impressions. A little sour citrus and sweet malted wheat. Not to bad in a belgian light.

Very cloudy yellow and orange with a clinging tan and white head. Very spicy yeast flavor, peppery and sweet on the tongue. Flavor is peppery with a decent wheat sourness throughout the drink. Mildly tart, estery, with some banana and wheat and peach rind in the flavors. Very lively and bubbly on the tongue. Good stuff, a proper wit in my opinion. Heavy carbonation gives this beer a stronger character. Has some spice aspects to it as well -- cininman and something else....medium hops - a very refreshing beer. Hazy apricot with a coating filmy head. Drier than it smells, and less fruity. medium bittering, moderate tanginess. Medium-quick finish. Good with nachos and garlicky salsa. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 31, 2006 Refreshing. Hazy yellows with moderate head. Citrus notes with accompanying tang from lemon and orange to some mild yeasty notes. Adequate body with carbonated lilt, making it an easy-to-drink summertime beer. Not enough spice by my palate to think of it as memorable, but by the same token, not so much as to impede its appealing qualities. I’ve had a fair number of mediocre wheats, so within the style I would regard this as a decent choice, though not necessarily the best example of it, if such a distinction can be allowed. Hazy bubbly yellow-gold with a very large foamy/fizzy lasting white head. The initial gsssshhh aroma was fresh bready yeast, in the glass I get yeast, lemon, banana and very mild spice, built around a light hard-candy malt base - it’s dry, a little sharp, and ultimately dominated by the candy character. Tastes of sweet grain, candy malt, only hints of the banana, lemon and spice - there’s a tinge of alcohol in the finish - better than I expected, but still not amazing (6+). Average body, lightly carbonated, quick finish, lightly syrupy mouthfeel - quenched my thirst, but didn’t really register much - although better than average of the whack of AmWheats I’ve been rating lately.
