Commercial Description:
Arcadia Whitsun is a modern interpretation of a mid-19th century English spring and summer festival ale. It is light golden in color with a rich, creamy head, full bodied and has a lightly toasted caramel flavor. The addition of Michigan star thistle honey contributes a uniquely smooth drinkability to this unfiltered wheat ale.

A light amber colored beer with a very small head that was a few shades lighter than the beer. Sweet and fruity describes the nose. Nectarine is the first thing tasted and it is bitter sweet. Wheat flavors seep in late and never come close to matching the fruit. There is little effervescence but some spiciness tingles the tongue just a bit. It finishes with a spicy flourish

12oz bottle 5/9/09 (Binny’s Plainfield)-Pours a goldenish amber with a small covering for a head. Aroma of citrus, caramel, wheat, and orange. Taste of orange, wheat, malt, caramel, honey, and slight hops. This light bodied brew is the first one from Arcadia that actually came across as somewhat fresh. Not bad and quite drinkable.

12 oz bottle poured into a snifter. Murky caramel color with small off-white head. Aroma is predominantly apples, with some sweet malt, wheat, and light citrus. Taste of sweet and tart apples. Medium mouthfeel with light crisp carbonation. Quenching, not bad.

Dead grass color with a nice head, smelled of wheat and lemon. The flavor was tangy or citrus, some banana, lots of apple that was kind of off putting in that it was the dominate flavor. Malty body with a clean aftertaste.

Interesting wheaty taste. Not particular but there is good note here. Nice hazy look with thin head.
