Commercial Description:
Arcadia Whitsun is a modern interpretation of a mid-19th century English spring and summer festival ale. It is light golden in color with a rich, creamy head, full bodied and has a lightly toasted caramel flavor. The addition of Michigan star thistle honey contributes a uniquely smooth drinkability to this unfiltered wheat ale.

Bottle: Gold yellow in colour with white head. Aroma has honey sweet hints with a little malt. Flavour has mild wheat hints with sweet honey flavour hidden in the background. The body is smooth. The beer is decent and refreshing and maintains good flavour without being complex.

Bottle: Poured a golden yellow/amber with a nice head that disappeared quickly. The aroma was that sweet orange and honey. The flavor was well balance, sweet and light. A favorite of mine in the Wheat Ale category

Pours a foggy amber. Nose is slight woody caramel. Syrupy kind of character to it. Flavor is tangy in a wood kind of way. Hits my mouth and makes me go "eck". A bit more body than I would expect, but there it is. Slight bitter tone. Feel is thicker on the liquid with a decent carbonation. I have an announcement to make. I hate this style. I hate it, hate it, hate it. I don’t think there is one beer of this style that I tried that I liked. (Okay, that’s not true. Blue Star by North Coast and White Gold by Ithaca were good, but way different than the 11 others that I do not like at all) But hey, this beer is overall pretty decent I guess. I just wouldn’t mind never drinking another Pale Wheat Ale in my life; except Gumballhead.

Bottle drank in the warm winter in January in New York City, watchin Ohio State roll inthe BCS. Anyway, small head with a peppery and caramel taste. I don’t see how it’s a summer beer at all.

From the bottle. I liked this one slightly more than Mrs. Prosqtor, who proclaimed it not wheaty enough. Cidery-sweet flavor and yet smooth and drinkable. A nice balance to the IPAs, ESBs, and EPAs I drank two nights ago!

Extremely mild and nondescript, light floral notes with possibly some corrianderbut more likely an herbal hop note. Slightly sweet, large fizzy disappearing head, and watery finish.

Poured a decent head that disapated quickly. Golden in color. Aroma of wheat and honey. The flavor had some spices added to the wheat and honey with a slightly bitter/ale ending.

vegetable taste and WHEAT body THAT I USUALLY and simply cannot stand but oddly enough i find it acceptable and then some with this beer. probably because it is recessed a bit and accompanied by a perfectly matched sweetness and body. for that i add several points. surely many of us have imbibed in the brewmasters results that were unable to achieve this result. the beer is strangley appealing and classic - not unlike the mona lisa-. when ingesting -just one drop- you will notice quite an appealing hop character with an interesting body . no doubt THIS is a very well balanced beer. this is result of a discerning beer lover or just plain luck.
