jerc (3050), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 4, 2008 2008-05-04. Yellow still headless body. Aroma is dry with muted tart apple and oak. Flavour is similar, light tart fruity apple and a good amount of dry oak. notes Average to light bodied palate, uncarbonated. Pleasant, but the oak was detrimental for my own liking as I felt it was a bit too dominant for the fruit. Sampled at the Winery.
GregClow (2286), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 14, 2008 Bottle sample at a "Locavore"/Slow Food dinner and social at Montgomery’s Inn. Light gold with a still looking body. Aroma of tart apple and mild oak. Light bodied with a slight sparkle. Simple, enjoyable flavour of apples and wood - an interesting combination. They called this an "apple wine", but it drank like an almost-still cider to me.
