JorisPPattyn (4282), Antwerpen, Belgium Jul 18, 2005 Gushing to stupendous, very diffluent dense head, cream-coloured; fully hazy orange-yellow beer with greenish shine. Very spicey, aromatic nose, garden herbs, olives, fresh yeast and inevitable citrus, farmyard aroma’s, but all in the nicest way. Titillating sourish taste, with a bitterish-spicey background, again not olive-unlike. Lemonbalm, horseradish, mustardpowder, Szechuan pepper and fruity impressions as citrus, gooseberry, gurkins, etc. and farmyard flavours, ending just a little bit smoked. Dry, and a bit burning-titillating MF, not empty, but lightish and refreshing by the acidity. Again a beautiful ale from du Brabant. Seen today’s current ABV’s, and its characteristics, nowhere better to classify this as under Saison.
