beeR (47), Cantù, Italy Sep 29, 2008 50 cl bottle. Dark amber-copper beer, with a creamy and beig head, not lasting. Good but not persistet aroma, roasty, caramel sweetness and a little bit of coffee. Unsatisfying flavor because of a light body and an important carbonation that overwhelmes the malty sweetness; mix of bitter and sour finish. PorterPounder (2880), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jun 17, 2008 Columbia, SC - Total Wines - 12 oz bottle - labeled as "Dark Lager Beer". Dark chestnut colored pour, fluffy off white head, good bubble action. Downright skunky aroma with some earthy notes to redeem it a tad. Flavor has some caramel notes, some baked brown bread and a bit of nuttiness. Clean, even mouthfeel. Run of the mill, but decent. oldpainless (34), fort mill, South Carolina, USA May 12, 2008 Tried it out at flying saucer recently. Not much going on w/ this one. Doesnt stand out in any way. give me a warsteiner dunkel any day of the week. 00cobraR (1000), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Apr 27, 2008 draft at Brixx. Not much going on here. Pours out a dark reddish brown color with a small beige head. aroma is weak and malty. Flavor was also weak and malty but had a pleasant dry finish to it. Over all this less than an exciting beer. 65thand5thOhio (2), Freeburg, Ohio, USA does not count Jul 22, 2007 Poured with very little head & lacing. Deep clear ruby/amber color. Mot much aroma. Taste is slightly malty, with residual tartness and a touch of astringency. Palate is light and sharp with plenty of carbonation, but a little thin. Not a bad change of pace over lighter styles for a hot weather beer.
