ratman197 (2156), Arvada, Colorado, USA Jun 26, 2008 Growler poured a clear dark brown nearly black with a minimal tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, vanilla and light mocha. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of vanilla, dark chocolate, light espresso and a hint of fruittiness with a smooth lingering vanilla finish. RSRIZZO (942), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Nov 15, 2007 Had this beer at the All Colorado Beer Fest on 11/10/2007. Aroma is a light roasted scent. Color is a deep dark brown with very low carbonation and no head. Taste is a bit flat with a mild vanilla taste on a medium sweet malt body that has no roasted flavors to it. Overall its just a little bland. BrewDad (1528), Olympia, Washington, USA Oct 7, 2006 [GABF, Denver Co - 2006]
A deep dark brown color little head and a great aroma. This was a great find at the GABF. A Vanilla Porter with the right amount of Vanilla. This was a little heaven in the mass of confusion. A great Beer.

Dark coloured and creamy on the palate with vanilla aroma and flavour. Some dryness and bitterness in the finish. Ernest (4177), Boulder, Colorado, USA Oct 11, 2005 GABF 2005.
Head is mostly diminishing.
Body is dark brown to black.
Aroma is lightly malty (chocolate), with a very strong note of vanilla.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter, slightly husky.
Light to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation.
Way overdone vanilla extract nose, sour aftertaste, very light and watery. Not pleasant.
