Bottle. Golden beer with a light head. The aroma is fruity, spiced and hopped, and the flavour is dry, toffee and roasted. Overall a disappointing beer.

Bottle. Golden with a small white head. Aromas are caramel malts with toast and apricots. Flavours are soft buttery, toasty malts with initially sweet, then bitter lemon. Dry and hoppy on the finish. I can imagine the Queen getting rat-arsed on this.

Bottle, at Kookfest, September 2006. Gold colour. Not fizzy to look at but intensely prickly on the tongue. Otherwise, pretty respectable. Hints of bread and toasty malt in the aroma, with noticeable creamy toffee too. More toffee on the palate but the hops are also pretty pronounced, producing a well balanced, smooth and easy drinking beer. Unfortunately, I’m a staunch republican so I have to score this beer 0.5. Only kidding.

Bottle @ Kookfest. Pale colour. Unusual nose - slight banana with tangy hop. Grainy malts and sweet caramel. Not too bad but a bit on the sweet side.

Kook’s Farewell Gathering. Malty, cardboardy, dull bitterness. Light coloured. Nothing interesting. Average and drinkable. Not a lot to say.

Bottle (Chris_o Gathering06): Malty, quite bready and morish. Golden in colour. Tasty.

Bottle at Kook’s Leaving Do at Chris_o’s. Deep copper colour, no head. Caramel aroma. Bit of toffee, very malty toffee. Some hop on the end. Goodish carbonation with prickly sensation on end. Goodish balance, but not sure about that toffee. Bit bready on the aroma.
