On gravity at Swindon BF 30/10/08. Amber coloured with a slight, off-white head. Malty, yeasty aroma with some red fruit and a Wadworth’s like hint of peardrops. Flavour was sweetish, with some caramel, muted woodiness and a slightly spicy, bitter finish. Ok.

A Sim rate (cask at the Doric Arch): 4 for aroma, and lucky at that! Very malty and smells a bit like wee. Unpleasant, to be kind. So regular amber coloured with OK lacing but acidic-looking head. Tastes better than it looks, but still not great. Tastes of malt and very strongly of corn. Really not very nice.

Cask Stillage at the Metropolitan Centre, Bury 24/11/2001 An amber coloured bitter with some fruitiness. Slightly bitter with plenty of hops in a lasting finish.

Cask Conditioned, at the Wenlock Arms, London.
Crystal clear amber coloured body, no head. Vanilla fudge flavour site amongst plenty of hops. This beer was flavourful and punching well above its weight. Result!!
