[Cask at the Nags Head, Reading] Deep ruby brown. Vinous aromaleads into a sweetish, fruity (blackberries?) flavour. Hints of dry smokiness in the finish. An OK mild which could do with the flavours being ramped up a bit.

On gravity at Reading Beer Festival, 01/05/09. Dark brown with a moderate, off-white head. rich, fruit cake aroma with nuts and raisins, plus some caramel. Flavour was sweet, with Camp Coffee, chocolate and a slightly bitter finish. very similar to Hooky Dark and a pleasant enough drink.

Gravity at Reading Beer Festival 2 May 08. Dark brown colored. Weak aroma of coffee. A disappointing weak flavor of roasted malt. Leaves you with a taste of wet paper.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Reading Beer Festival, shared with Finn. Deep dark coloured body under a naked surface. Roasted armoa. Roasted and rounded fruit-malty taste. Dry finish. A middle-of-the road mild (02.05.2008).

Very faint chocolate malt aroma with some hay, faint tart fruit. low sweetness, slightly dry hop flavour towards the end. a good mild should be subtle but this is a bit dull.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at Reading Beer Festival.
Dark red brown with no head. Slightly funk & sour with some reasonable fruity malt. Faint apple note does it no favours sadly but ok over all if not a bit boring.
