thefrutigers (100), , Arizona, USA May 17, 2009 Bottle: Poured Dark reddish brown clear, but not easily seen thrugh. Thin but consestant head. Nice resinous piney hops smell. Taste was smooth with a slightly toasty burnt malt under tone with a touch piney hops. Ending is bitter but smooth. Typical very good Stone brew. bierslaaf (33), Cape Town, South Africa May 16, 2009 Hazy orange pour with a small white head leaving some lacing on the galass. Small slow bubbles. Citrus and hops in the aroma. Full bodied with medium carbonation. Total hop explosion. Bitter floral and citrus in the falvour. Long citrus and floral finish. RedSox2004 (353), Pacific Palisades, California, USA May 15, 2009 Pours a deep reddish brown/mahogany with thick tan boulders that dissipated to a solid film and left great lacing. Pine hops were the strongest aroma with roasted malts clearly present. A delicious beer, strong resinous hoppy flavor balanced with strong maltiness that lingered in the background. Medium body with light carbonation that left a real good mouth feel. High alcohol content was not evident at all. WVHouseofBeer (339), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA May 14, 2009 Had a reddish-orange color, with a decent amount of head and lacing. Great hoppy taste balanced by the malts, with a smooth finish. Another excellent offering from Stone. LC livelaughlovep (96), Lakewood, Ohio, USA May 14, 2009 Hoppier than expected - oily, rough, pine, little citrus. Lovely dark amber hue. Wasn’t feeling this style when I had it, but it wasn’t bad. BVery (446), Burnsville, Minnesota, USA May 14, 2009 Updated: Jun 28, 2009BOTTLE: I am a tough rater. You probably won’t like me. It is quite doubtful that you have the intelligence to understand comments of this quality and depth. jbye4334 (652), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA May 13, 2009 Updated: Sep 29, 2009(bottle from Weber St Liqour in Colorado Springs).
