Commercial Description:
This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

A lovely confection, good balance, nice mouth feel, superb hopping. It was somewhat more carbonated than I enjoy.

A beautiful clear ruby red with a large frothy cream head that sticks around. The aroma is mostly hops, I get dark fruit and citrus, a little sweet too. The flavor is a delicious mix of roasty caramel malt notes with a lot of hop bitterness. Finishes dry and bitter. Overall a very balanced, intense brew.

Off Capital Ale House taps 05/20/08 Clear dark amber with fine persistent head. Was hard to initialy pick up any aroma in this environment, but some grassy hop aroma came out as beer warmed. Medium to full mouthfeel with rich caramel and roast malt flavors and some hefty hop bitterness and some grassy hop flavor. Finish was moderately sweet with a good deal of residual hop bitterness.

Available everywhere on the West Coast--Pours a deep amber body with a nice whitish head. Aroma is piny, fruity, citrus hops with a big malt spine. Great balance of hops and malts. A little sweet, but not overly so. On the verge of being to big, but like most Stone brews, this one walks the line. Great beer.

bottle. pours deep orange red with a sizable off white head. leaves plenty of lace. aroma is lemony and resinous hops. taste is very smooth. low carbonation, creamy malt backbone, and a moderate bitter hop. no hint of the high abv. sweetness is held in check just enough by the hops to keep from being cloying. spicy hops become more distinct as you drink. mmm.

"I am not worthy" to have this as my 100th beer but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy it! Deep mahogany color with nice lacing right of the bat. Taste is a mix of sweet/malt and hops which goes full blown hops in the aftertaste. Great beer.

This beer is impressive, the aroma is a kind of berry sweet, kind of reminds me of children’s Tylenol and alcohol. The appearance deep red, my friend said it looks like blood. Flavor is simply amazing plenty hops, also a berry taste but not too much, dry maybe a little to dry but I like it a lot. Great feeling on the tongue. Overall this a great beer if you are worthy enough!
