Arrogant Bastard Ale

Bottle. A modern classic! Lots of malt, malt of hops, lots of taste. Extremely complex. Sweet hoppy aswell as a burnt maltiness. A balanced unbalance...

Bottle at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours deep red with a small head that easily resurects from a spin of the glass. Burnt malt and raisin in the aroma. Lots of malts and some sweetness in the taste, finishes a bit burned. Quite balanced and uniform brew, but still complex!

Had a couple drafts at the local Cajun joint, and found it ample enough to hold its own against the complex flavors of the spicy food. It has a nice creamy head and smooth taste, with a swift kick of bitterness at the end. Will have again.

Poured a dark amber. Hops hit first with a succulent grapefruit punch. Malt barely noticeable. Good one to sip on all night long.

Poured into a snifter, a dense half inch beige head formed atop the reddish brown ale. Good malt and hop balance in the aroma and flavor, with a lingering depth after each sip. Excellent ale!

I like this one. Thought it was a bit rough at first taste but it has grown on me. Nice bite to it.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass The color is a deep red almost a maroon color with a foamy white, brownish head. The smell is of oats, strong and bitter, hard to place but the outgoing main aroma. The taste is bitter, strong bitterness taste the first taste buds and throws them for a wallop. The hops in the background sit on the already busy tongue till it bring about tastes that were never expected from a beer such as this. The real puzzle that is Arrogant Bastard is the taste. It is hard by sweet at the same time. Hard going down but sweet till the last drop. Just the experience a good micro fan must have.

12 pack of bombers. Poured dark brown, almost reminded me of a stout. Had a serious bite, and the abv had me sweating by the time I finished the bottle. This is one that I will share with a friend next time I crack one open.
