Light lacing. Aroma is your typical Stone well hopped beer. You can actually taste some malt in this beer. Slight sweetness with very little aftertaste. Medium body. A very good beer. sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 26, 2007 Bottle: Dark amber in color with a light tan head. Aroma, caramel, brown sugar, earthy hops. Flavor, rich caramel, and some slight roasted malts, nutty, toffee, with a nice bit of earthy hops, and bitterness. It’s nice going back to it after so many other beers. It’s not what I remembered at all, but for once, that is a good thing. Usually something that I loved a couple years ago pales in comparison to what I like now, but this is definitely an exception. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Oct 7, 2007 Pour is reddish brown with a light head. Smell is malty sweetness, with some hops showing through. Taste is sweet but not overly at all, followed by a mild drying hop finish. Thich, and rich for the style, while flavors are somewhat mild actually. Nice bitterness at first, but it turned medicinal and aspirin tablet-like a bit. Not bad, but wasn’t too crazy about it either. decaturstevo (2007), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 20, 2006 A dark amber pour. A huge hop aroma I know there is malt in there somewhere but I can’t smell it. Also a huge hop flavor. Balance of hops and malt I’m not sure about that but there is plenty of hops. A nice palate and oh yea did I mention the bitter at the end? No lingering alcohol in this as well. I like it and would drink it again. mjg74 (2000), La Mesa, California, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 20, 2008 Pours amber/copper, beige head.
Aroma is malty/roasted and hoppy.
Taste had quite a good dose of hops and malts. Slightly under the IPA version with more malts. Fruit notes.
Gains in roasted / caramel flavors as it warms up, but keeps a good hoppy finish. beerbill (1973), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 2, 2006 22 oz. bottle. I was just looking over my list and I can’t believe I haven’t rated this one yet. I’ve probably got at least a dozen empties in my garage. Oh well, here goes...Pours a dark amber with a moderate long-lasting head with nice lacing. Very nice aroma of malt and grapefruit. STrong hops presence in the flavor (a bit over the top for me, but perfect for a hop-head). Bitter finish. Good stuff! MIBRomeo (1965), Wisconsin, USA
