Commercial Description:
This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

22OzBottle Pours a dark coper brown with a nice hefty off white head and dence lacing. Aroma is malty, carmel and plenty of hops. A dark roast taste and a unique flavor I cant place. Spicy, slightly sweet. The alcohol comes through pretty strong..and this just in....quite hoppy. A strong lingering hops bitter at the end. Feel is nice and heavy/thick with a slight sense of sediment or chalky imed after swallowing. A complex, strong, ale.

Tap at the Yardhouse, Long Beach. Dark amber colour, with quickly gone white head. Hoppy aroma. Hoppy and malty taste. Full bodied with very noticable alcohol. Not bad, but I was expecting better.

Beautiful reddish coloration with a foamy tan head. Aroma subtle but very pleasant--of apple/fruit, maybe a bit of citrus and a little evergreen. Flavor is great... hops are present throughout, but really come into focus at the end. First burst of flavor is bitter hops, which momentarily gives way to a fruity sweetness that then immediately breaks into an piney sharpness of hops that finishes nice and bitter.

(Bottle at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, on 2009-04-11) Dark red wine colour and hazy. Small white head. Berries, hops and roasted sugar in aroma. Full bodied and dry palate with medium carbonation. Malts, hops, black currant, sweetness, roasted sugar, bitterness, saltiness and lightly liquorice in taste. Long lasting aftertaste with malts, roasted sugar and bitterness.

Thank you Harry!

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a small white head. Hoppier than I expected (a blend of floral, citrus, and piney hops), but blended really well with the malt base. The first time I had this was early in my beer palate development, so it wasn’t anything special to me (especially since I didn’t appreciate hops at that point). Having it a second time (now a time when IPAs and ASAs are becoming my new fave styles), I was quite pleasantly surprised and blown away by this beer! It was amazing and I can’t wait to have some more again! Also I love the commercial description of this beer--so accurate!

Bottle....Poured a deep translucent red with off-white head that had excellent retention that laced the glass. Aroma of hops was very noticeable upfront, lets you know what your in for. Surprisingly enough, it was incredibly smooth, nice balance of aroma, malty sweetness, and high bitterness and alcohol presence barely noticeable, with a full bodied mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Good Ale!
