Orange red color with bubbly tan head. Some malt in the nose with a touch of citrusy hops. Hop bitterness all around, but plenty of malt in the taste, along with a bit of cherry. Fantastic stuff - wish they’d distribute more than just this one and the IPA to Texas - I’d love to drink more of their stuff here.

I loved this the first time I tried it and it’s still one of the best beers I’ve ever had. I live close enough to the brewery to get it fresh in a growler once in a while. A classic!

Poured darker then I thought. Not as big a head either. Lots of malt. No citrus odor for me. Lots of coffee odor. Very delicious all-around.

One of the best. Great slightly fruity flavor for an ale. It also hits you hard.

This was my first big boy beer, so it always holds a special place. Don’t drink this beer to have a good time, and don’t expect to throw down 4 of them. It’s very, very bold. Starts sharp and bites on the way down. I’ve heard Stone will fill growlers cheaper than you’d find this at the store...
