Thought I would re-rate now due to my personal affinity for this brew. Once again, very deserving of the 5.0 rating I originally gave. A Hall of Fame brew that turned me on to the joys of all other beers being different than Miller or Anheuser Busch.

This is IT. What a beer. The intense hoppy bitterness of the initial taste hits like a hammer, while still being elegant and balanced; and the finish is beautiful and lasting. I can see why some people warn beginners away from it, though; its power could be overwhelming for the inexperienced.

My all time favorite beer. Nothing compares to the bastard. Try it if you think youre worthy

One of my all-time favorites. Dark mahogany color. A strong beer with the perfect blend of sweet malt and hops. Flavor is very deliciously unique putting this beer in a category all its own.

This beer is awesome. Dark amber in color, hoppy like a mother. At first sip it bites you big time. Second sip your almost ready. Third sip your ready to do commercials for this beer. Calling it aggresive still dosent do it justice. This is my favorite beer. You are not ready!

the perfect beer! not for pussys though

the only other premium beer i had had before this was Delirium Nocturnum and Guinness. oh, can you imagine my surprise? i have to admit it, the bottle is what made me buy it, but the taste is what makes me love it. THIS STUFF IS DANK! i enjoy preceeding a bottle of this with a nice pisswater, just so i can laugh at the difference. does anyone else pick up a nice fruity aftertaste?
