Rich, full flavor with dark roasted malts, fully hopped noses and frothy goodness. Damn, I fucking love this beer. The first flavor does hit you hard - it’s an assault of balanced bitterness between the roast in the malt and the hops. But behind this, is a very complex, uncompromising flavor. Jeffsloane (10), USA

Diego and well deserved. Opening up a bottle releases an amazing aroma. The appearance is dark and rich and the flavor follows through with a well bodied bitter that stays in your mouth for a long time. Drink on an empty stomach, because this stuff is filling and youre going to want a lot of it. MrEcted1 (144), Wheat Ridge, Colorado, USA

This is one complex mutha! it pours a very deep amber hue with a really nice frothy head which you can expect to sit on top your beer for the entire drink. Under the right conditions gigantic pillows of lacing will form on the sides of your glass letting you know that this is one bad-ass of a beer.
Some people say that this beer is overrated, I beg to differ, I proudly drink my Arrogant Bastard because to me the dark complexities that are hidden in all corners of this brew really drive this beer in the right direction. This is a complex beer with nice dark fruit flavors such as raisins and prunes. The complexities only grow as your palate adjusts to this beer and it gets a bit warmer. I like mine at room temperature - maybe a hair colder. This beer is quite hoppy, but not in an aggressive IPA way, it just has a buttload of hops to help even out all of the maltiness. Very good beer, highly recommended for seasoned beer drinkers or people that want to know what an aggressive beer really is. djd07 (753), Houston, Texas, USA

Pours a dark red color with a small white head. this one had an interesting aroma with strong hops and toasty malts. Laces nicely and the taste was an arora of flavors a very overwhelming taste, like the label says you’re not worthy. grandet (486), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Feb 17, 2009 Nutty caramel and pine smell with hints of bubblegum and licorice.
Dark amber color and difficult to see the action with an off tan head.
Heavy sweet bitter with roasted almost burnt malt taste and has a smooth finish of herbal pine and some grapefruit.
Medium to moderate bodied, very resinous, and has lively soft carbonation.
The drinkability is exceptional for the style. BobbyAnalog (28), California, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Oct 15, 2009 A forceful, decadant cavalcade of hops and unabridged bitterness. This ale is removed of any spices or sweetness, and contains a boastful, toasty bite. Arrogant Bastard blooms with extreme simplicity and a double-barreled knock back taste.
