Commercial Description:
This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

Thanks for the putdowns on the bottle. I like the sarcasm and in-your-face "are you down with craft beer, or are you pussy?"--attitude. Take a sniff...Spruce resin, orange flowers, malty malt, WOW! This is like taking a hit from a 6 foot bong! It’s an aromatic orangatuan climbing up my nose, and playing my ole-factory like a jungle gym. The dryness outta shrink my head fast enough to make a headhunter cry with joy as he decorates his tent post with my shriveled, devil-puckered up mug. Astringent but not aseptic; this big beer has plenty of expression. In a Barry White voice this beer says to my taste buds, "Hello taste babies, I’m gonna make love to you." The taste babes are passing out all over my mouth. What a hit! There’s a little smoky, and a lot of sweet malt. A citric rind-like burn on the top of my mouth. This brew is so warm, feels stronger then it says. Man it’s taut in the mouth like a live wire with all those hops. There’s enough malt to fill your mouth though. Don’t be worried about being bored with this munster. The beautiful thick, velvety, steamed milk froth is clinging all over the glass like sex juices after intercourse. What happened in that mug? I suggest: Sip and chug your way through 2/3 of a bomber, then kick back and let it warm up. As it warms up you should find yourself contemplating all the naughty things you want to do to satisfy your lover. Sip the last third of this brew saying those things with your eyes. This is a McNasty beer that will have it’s way with you, and you should share that feeling.

Nice brown / reddish tinge with a graying head that’s bubbly and foamy. Aroma is pineapple, mango, melon and grapefruit sprinkled with sugar. Wafts of amaretto, greasy potato chips and bubble gum also surface from time to time. Okay, let’s party. Hops and grapefruit flavors come out swinging. Honey suckle and rose. Damn this is tasty. Hops infusion is a welcomed intrusion. Dry scratchiness, like sandpaper on the palate. More malt presence than Ruination, adding some maple and honey sweetening for a solid malt backbone. Finish is rum raison and rose herbal tea. Yeah! Good f*cking beer. Thanks, tpkenned!

poured a gorgous dark amber/red with thick creamy head. smelled hoppy and sweet with citrus, malt and fruit aromas. tasted much the same. strong bite, nice and spicey from the hops with a rich malty depth. a great ale.

What can be said that hasn’t been said already? There’s a reason it ranks so high. Good smell, looks nice, taste great. Why be wordy... it’s just damn good.

Au Spirit Haus, MA. Très corpulente. Houblon très présent. Cerises, alcool, malt, caramel, chocolat. Très spéciale. Vraiment excellente. Mousse généreuse.

This beer has every right to be arrogant. From its beautiful amber color to the bitter, bite that never ends, this beer is great. The flavor comes out at a warmer temp, so enjoy cool, not cold.

22oz bomber. I am not worthy!! Have been wanting to try this for awhile now and I am not disappointed! I love the aroma, pine, citrus, and wonderful hoppy goodness. The flavor is huge, with the hops taking a back seat to the great malt. The hoppyness was less than anticipating.

Aggressive is a great marketing term and for that matter so is the name....on the other hand, I think that beer people would taste a English bitter that truly is bitter because it’s not a Belgian strong ale..First sip, I can tell that the brewmaster who came up with this recipe, was thinking how can I American-ize a Belgian strong ale, give it plenty of hop bite, but let it remain that somewhat subtle malt backbone that English bitters are famous for....well here is the finished product. A very nice beer to buy a bottle of and slowly enjoy over some good conversation. Very well done!
