Commercial Description:
This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

Wow ... I realized I’d never entered a rating on this classic. It’s big and dark red with a solid, cratered-like-the-moon head. Big sweet raisin-bready aroma. Extraordinarily hoppy, very sweet and citrusy, this is maltier and fruitier than I would’ve recalled. Very smooth and frothy.

What a great looking beer. Huge rocky head over brilliant cherrywood body. THe aroma has all the hops I hoped for, but the flavor integrates them beautifully with some sweet, full malt. I did not expect to like this as much as I did.

Very different - peppery, like essence of chile peppers without the heat, and even somewhat sweet and fruity. Yet the finish is delightfully dry, and perfectly bitter. The most impressive American Strong Ale I've had. The aroma is intriguing - I can't quite put my finger on what's inside this beer!

My buddy calls it "The most unholy swill on earth" but I think it's great. You gotta be in the mood for hops when you drink this one. Deep brown color, nose is alive with malts and hops.

Pours with a spicy aroma. Moderate Amber color slight carbonation nice size head very appetizing appearance. Very well balanced hits you first with the malt then finishes you off with a great hoppy flavour. This is trully an awesome ale!

Ahh, this is a fine American Strong Ale! The head is gorgeous, the mouthfeel sublime and the taste is bitter, hoppy and malty. It also kicks ass to boot. This is by far my favorite beer from Stone.

Deep copper color with ruby highlights.Nice rocky tan head and nice lace. The smell is sweet with apples, grapefruit, and a light hint of malt. The taste had apples, hops, and a little malt.Hop bitterness in the finish.Well balanced.Medium-heavy body with lots of carbonation sting.Wouldn’t take many of these to mess someone up.Seem to have more kick than 7.2%.Good beer indeed.
