Very fruity hops with hints of sweet grapefruit. I like it. Color is a dark ruby brown. Good $hit. Flavor is excellent. Perfectly balanced. Good malt backbone with a generous helping of hops. Citrus fruit present with a little bit of roasted grains. Finish is pretty bitter but not too much. More grapefruit and a nice alcohol warming. A top quality beer and one that will find a permanent home in my fridge. Bonus points for the great bottle and description. Worth buying just for that. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA

Thick and dark and syrupy in the pour with almost no head and a little creamy lacing around the surface. The taste is very hoppy with a nice full fell in the mouth. Winey and slightly syrupy in the aftertaste, with hints of dates and figs, wuth otherwise not overly fruity, and very little aroma. Brilliant lacing and incredible to drink...Highly recommended!!! greco (41), Zeeland, Michigan, USA

Great aroma and the finish is awesome. I had a hard time placing it in a certain style, though. regal (23), Ringgold,Ga., USA

Sure, it burns, but it’s a good burn. Can’t wait to try Double Bastard! Strong aroma of tea. I’m not worthy. Hab40oz (242), Grants Pass, Oregon, USA

Punishing hoppy and spicy nose wish creamy head. Has a strong malty taste, very rich and up a notch by a also strong hop presence. It finishes with a great spicy bitterness which kicks this beer onto a whole new level. Very smooth, tastes similar to a Sam Adams with a nice bite. Dark amber color. Only flaw is the slightly harsh aftertaste. Nevertheless, the beer of choice for feeling loose quick. 785pro (10), California, USA

The after taste while stong is yet strangly pleasant. Seems to have a touch of citurs....I am worthy, mouth watering typing this. Started on Stoned IPA got hooked on the ole Bastard....
