It was good but I don’t see what all the hype is. I guess you ddon’t have the sophistication to appreciate my palate, you fucking puke, hahaha.

This is a well balanced beer with malts and bitter hops on the nose.
Taste is full mouthfeel and has a strong bitter bite on the front.
While the hops are pronounced, there is still nice balance and the malts throughout the taste.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 20, 2009 Bomber. Pours a dark reddish brown with a nice thick beige head with thick lacing. Nose is heavy on the hops, pine, and caramel touch. Taste is also heavy on the hops to start, gives way to a nice pine and citrus middle, followed by a slightly sweet but dry finish. Very bitter all the way through. Brutal on the palate, the hop bitterness really packs a wallop, alcohol is well hidden. Always one of my favs, can’t believe I haven’t rated this yet. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Growler. Well, I really liked this beer. Pours a rich, amber-red with a strong, white head. Nice, hoppy aroma with strong pine notes. Some detectable malts on the nose. Flavor is big, cocky blend of elements. Heavy on the hops, this beer rings with citrus and piney, resiney flavors. Underneath, some good, earthy malts give the brew some considerable depth. Slight bread flavor adds to the medium to large body. Lingering, mildy bitter aftertaste. A great session ale for heavy drinkers. tpd975 (243), Riverview, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 1/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 10, 2009 This is one of my absolute favorite beers. I first drank it in a fisherman’s bar in Alaska. There is no doubt about it.... this was my gateway beer, it sent me in search of other true "craft" brews.
A: A nice mahogany red in color. Big thick 3 finger head at the initial pour. There is nice lacing left behind as I pounded this one.
S: Very nice and hoppy. There is definite pine and citrus with hints of caramel and molasses.
T: This is where this beer shines. At first swallow I taste the pine, very resiny. Then the hops come on the scene. It finishes very malty bready almost with the taste of hops still lingering. Perfectly Balanced.
M: Medium bodied and ever so smooth and creamy. mastabass666 (68), California, USA

SImply the best thing I’ve had from Stone. It’s like an IPA on steroids. I highly recommend it for anyone who likes this style of beer.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 6, 2009 Slightly reddish brown color in the glass. Aromas smell faintly of citrus fruit. This is a pretty hoppy beer on the palate, I agree with the bottle description of "aggressive hops". Definitely a well-made brew though. taphandle (35), Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 5, 2009 Enough malt flavor to carry the bitterness. Held head throughout glass. Carbonation was fizzy and the hops flavor and bitterness had a long finish.
