BeerHawk (801), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA Jun 10, 2006 Bottle (Production date 29.08.05, Best Before 29.08.06). Poured a clear golden with a fizzy white head that quickly dissipated. Light aromas of lemon, wheat, and grain. The flavor was slightly acidic up front with a grainy taste. Light body and watery. I’ll pass on my curiosity next time.
bhensonb (3136), Woodland, California, USA Oct 17, 2008 Bottle from Tops in Tempe, AZ. Amber color with a frothy white head. Rather soapy aroma. Medium body with firm carbonation. A little heat shows. Flavor is mild caramel with noble hop to balance. It’s an ok drink. Arayaga2 (777), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 13, 2008 Honey gold with nice white head. Aroma is sweet and corny with little hop presence. Taste is very unusual in terms of onset of notes, and decay of flavor on the palate. Sweet, light, and well carbonated, with little hop presence. $2/16oz nuplastikk (510), USA Jun 26, 2008 500ml bottle. I admit it. I’m scared. Pale golden color. Big industrial alcohol aroma prepares you for the factory fresh, sugary sweet death juice that is Apcehaabhoe. Brutal and harsh, but still has a somewhat ok fruity aftertaste that tricks you into darign another sip. Avoid at all costs.
JPDIPSO (4344), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Apr 24, 2008 Dark straw to golden color. Fluffy, diminishing white head. Grainy and DMS laden aromas. Hints of light cotton candy and alcohol as well. Sweet raw sugar flavors. Some higher alcohols and brown sugar and sweet corn flavors as well. Another Euro strong lager meant for that after work buzz. luttonm (96), Seattle, Washington, USA Apr 13, 2008 Nose and initial taste of sweet honey. Bright and hazy yellow color with a much fuller body than american ’lagers’. I’d much rather drink one of these than two americans, if you know what I mean. Definitely better than Baltika ’9’, less fiery and more drinkable.
For a better read I agree with, see ’Cornfield’ below.
