Commercial Description:
Cask, Regular;
Making the most of our gas fired copper which naturally creates maltier brews, this is a well rounded caramel ale with a hoppy finish, and is the standard bitter in our collection.

Cask, Leicester Fest 09. Amber brown with a bubbly head. Aromas are cocoa powder with weetabix malts. Quite spicy. Flavours are sweet weetabix with light citrus. A bit boring.

Cask@Leicester Beer Festival, 2009. Brown beer with a lightly hopped and floral aroma. The flavour is malty and plainly hopped. Overall an average malty and hopped beer.

Cask, Charters, Peterborough. Squash-like headless red. Nose enticing chocolate, earth, nuts and coffee. Zero condition, but not the beer’s fault. coffee nuttiness, wisp of smoke linger, not much in the way of hops. Pretty good, if a bit tired.

Cask (Guide Dog, Southampton ) - Brown in colour with a small head. Fruity and hoppy aroma with raisins, caramel and grapefruit. Bittersweet taste with fruity and mildly hoppy finish featuring grapefruit and caramel.

Cask, Black Horse, Darwen. Dark mahogany colour with a medium off white head. Citrus hop aroma. Decent malt and hop balance in the flavour which had notes of tea. Gently lingering bitter finish. Not bad
