Fruity pine hop aroma. Golden coloured fruity floral strong in alcohol and hoppy with a little dryness in a crisp and bitter malt finish.

Clear medium orange color with small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, grapefruit, orange. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and shell bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090731]

Aug 9, 2009 Cask, gravity at the White Horse, Hedgerley, Bucks 08-08-09 on leg seven of the Thames Tipple Pours light amber with a white bubbly surface coating masquerading as a head. Some malt on nose touch of sweet fragrance also. The taste is like bitter honey, really tangy, the bitterness really bites. This is quite a zappy IPA, good hoppy stuff, very enjoyable but I slightly preferred the Acorn Woodstock, LOz on the other hand loved this and had a pint and a half. A6 A4 F7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Aug 3, 2009 Cask@Wenlock Arms. Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is strong fruity hops along with some wooden and nectary notes as well. Flavour is bigtime citrusfruity hops along with the same things as in the arroma. Wellbalanced, pleasant and very refreshing IPA.

Jul 13, 2009 Cask at Old Fountain, London. An amber coloured beer with a smallish head. Aroma of hops and fruit. Hoppy, spicy, fruity. Not bad.

Jul 8, 2009 Cask @ The Wenlock. Amber with a thin white head. Pale and sweet caramel malts with some leafy citrus/grapefruit hop and a bit of booze in the nose. Taste is much the same, quite sweet with a bit of caramel and contrasting green hop bite on the swallow, alcohol is quite apparent. Less sweetness would do wonders for me, I feel like I need to brush my teeth and now my pancreas hurt, ouch...is there a doctor in the house?

Jun 20, 2009 Cask conditioned at The Bell, Bath. Gold with white head. Malty beer with heavy dry grapefruit notes, definitely hoppy, agree with resinous, sharp throughout, really quite pleasant.

Jun 14, 2009 Cask-conditioned at the Royal Oak, Bath 13/06/09. Amber with a tight white head that left rings down the glass. Aroma of spicy hops, oranges and sweet malts. Flavour had more of the same with some pine resin, prickly mouth feel and a long dry finish. The "monkey" in question is Chris, the manager of the Royal Oak, who appears on the pump clip. Very good.
