Prveiously known as Arundel Classic.
A special bitter with a complex roast malt flavour leading to a fruity, hoppy, bitter-sweet finish.

Bottle. Pours a real dark amber colour with a medium white head. Good hoppy aroma. The flavour is very fruity, with a dry aftertaste.

Bottle, picked this up at the Vale Brewery shop 22-08-08 consumed 27-08-08 Pours dark amber with off white head. Fruity and malty beer with medium bitterness, quite tasty and decent enough but doesn’t really stand out from the crowd.

Bottled. Very fruity and light floral aroma, apple, apricot. Orange color, light hazy, off-white small head, fair lace. Sweet, hint of sourness, light but increasing bitterness. Fruity (apple and apricot) flavor with floral/herbal hops. Malty and toffee yet dry finish.

500ml bottle BBE July 07 from Cask & Glass, Tonbridge. Amber crystal clear with thin off white head. Toffee malt and earthy hop aroma. It is a little uncultured for a bitter, but it has some good flavours, the toffee is quite strong. It’s fine. I normally like Arundel beers, but this one is just about average.

500ml bottle from Middle Farm near Lewes, Sussex. Label is different from picture - red lettering on a cream background with gold edging. Very little aroma and pours dark amber with zero head. Flavour is a decent balance of malt and hops, but overall this is simply not a memorable example of a Sussex ale.
