Cask@The Castle. Amber colour, small beige creamy head. Aroma is malts, hops, some mild wood and a bit meaty. Flavour is fruits, wood, some sweet grass and mild notes of nectar. A nice sweetish sour thing.

Sep 16, 2008 Clear reddish amber with tiny white head. Sweet aroma with hints of hops and caramel . Sweet flavor with grassy hops and mild caramel notes. Ends with discrete bitterness.

Aug 11, 2008 Cask (handpump) at the Castle, Holborn. Amber colour. Thin off-white head. Moderately pungent, pronounced hoppy aroma with lychee and light resinous notes to the fore. Falls away a bit on the palate and finish. Fairly mellow and easy drinking but didn’t quite live up to the initial promise.
