This is quite a surprise for a Japanese macro brew. Red in color. Very clean flavor, a bit of malt, a bit of caramel. Light and drinkable, but still not much there.

12oz twist-off bottle. clear, amber color. rocky head. sweet malt nose. Rich malt character. slight toasted barley. A little nutty even some caramel malt. Better than most of the style.

From a 12oz brown bottle - Pours a clear pale orange. Not pretty too all. Smells of corn and light malt. Below average carbonation. First sip is almost flavorless with just a tad of hops and malts …almost water like. I can not imagine consuming this product.

12 oz. Clear copper with a small, lasting disc of foam. Spots of soapy lace. Light aroma of spicy-sweet grain and caramel. Flavors of molasses, toasted nut and dry grain husk with a light orange-apple twang. Light-medium body is a bit watery and fizzy, but very dry. Not great, but very drinkable. Reminds me of some of the fair-to-middlin English bitters.

Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX. Pours a clear amber with off-white head. Aroma has some caramel in it. Flavor isn’t half bad, some malt notes, hints of caramel, some hop flavor with a slight citris tang with a little bitterness in the end, small hint of alcohol. Palate is light body with high carbonation. Over all, not bad....I’d drink another.

Bottle @ Shokitini in Athens, GA. Rather watered down to be called "premium lager." Fortunately this beer gets a boost from a slightly floral aroma and subtle citrusy notes. Thin-bodied. Sweet water. Better than a typical American macro but not really a "craft beer."

bottle at Nikko’s in Charlotte. I actually was not expecting this beer when I ordered an asahi. easy drinking with light aromas of rice. flavor was a bit on the sweet side. not bad though.
