Sampled from bottle. Pours copper-gold with a thick, creamy white head/ Aroma is sweet malts and some grassy hops. Flavor is slightly sweet and dominated by lightly toasted malts. Some grass and metals were also present, but light. Medium-bodied and a bit more gassy than I would prefer. A decent lager. Although I wouldn’t pick up another sixer, I’d certainly have it at a sushi bar where options are usually limited.

Suprisingly this beer had some color to it, copper. I was expecting another light yellow macro lager. Had a bit more malt than your average asahi. A bit smoother and sweeter than usual. Still nothing great about it though.

Bottle. Creamy malt aroma. Reddish amber color with small head. A rice pudding flavor - light cinnamon and nutmeg but also soy sauce. Not a great flavor - I don’t really get into the soy sauce flavor that I always seem to get from Japanese beers.

Bottle

Pours a lush gold, with a nice creme head and clinging lace. Aroma is rice, sweet/sour malt, and a tinge of hops. Very bready nose. Flavor is slightly spicy, with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and a tinge of roasted malt. Palate is average, with equal parts water and slickness. I was very surprised at the quality of this, as I was expecting crap. Nice beer, one I would drink again in the right setting.

They do have the Vienna style likeness down with this one, albeit a little weird. Nose is faint sweet corn and caramel. A little bland and "bottle" tasting, cardboard perhaps, with some mild roast caramel malts. Not bad, but nothing to buy again.

Drank after a shift at work that I was called in to cover. A nice looker pours copper with a decent white head. The nose was hard to discern, chemical like sweetness, and a bit if caramel. Buttery lemon flavor with some caramel coming in at the finish. A metallic edge to this throughout. It was a pleasant experience overall. Ap-4 ar-4 tas-5 pal-3 ov-12

Wow, a pleasant surprise. Vaguely in the vienna style, if a touch light for the style. Burnt amber color, large bubbles and medium head. Aroma mostly of caramelized malts, with a touch of floral hops. Nice big caramelized palate, with an easy finish with enough hops for balance, no more. Turns out to be a nice tasting and easy drinking amber lager, with rounded caramel sweetness. A good partner to food in general, and in particular was really nice with smoked bbq ribs.

As appearances go, this beer falls between the Dark and Pale Lager categories with a burnt-orange hue. A billowy and frothy white head receedes slowly leaving behind moderate sheet lacing. The nose is not overly complex, teasing with hints of caramel and cereal which are, unfortunately, paired with a plastic note and a distinct graininess. The flavor is moderately improved, lacking any plastic. It starts moderately sweet and finishes lightly sweet and lightly bitter. The mouthfeel is actually quite good, though hamstrung by just a touch of astringency. Medium body, smooth and silky texture, moderate carbonation. Potential yes, but sadly marred by silly flaws. 12 oz bottle, nonick glass.
