Smells like ginger snaps, pours like a small Duvel, golden, with a large foamy head. Taste is akin to stem ginger cookies. Light bodied, sweet and spicy. Very nice treat.

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 27, 2008 This is a Happoshu, meaning it has less than 25% malt, that includes unmalted barley, rice, corn, starch, and sugar. It also includes ginger extract to give it its flavor.
Light yellow color. Rather thin looking, with a very thin head. Weak malt aroma, decent amount of ginger. Touch of hops. Flavor of light malts, grains, corn, and ginger. A bit of hops. Ginger is not overpowering, and with the thinness of the beer, I wish there was a bit more of it. Not too sweet, though (like Canada Dry?). Overall, it is drinkable and vaguely interesting. Not a real ginger ale, by any means, but certainly more interesting than your usual happoshu.
