Commercial Description:
Ginger extract is blended with the barley flavor of Happoshu. We have realized a stimulating flavor with a heretofore unknown lightness. This is the new style of happoshu wherein you can enjoy the refreshing aroma of ginger with a clean aftertaste.

Can. Pours a clear golden colour with a short white head. Bit sweet sugary ginger soda aroma with some malt. Fair mouthfeel. The flavour is mildly sweet with ginger, some malt and light spice. Sweet ginger soda light spice finish. Refreshing. Thanks Aya for bringing this to Denmark.

Winter Welcome Toronto. Smells like ginger snaps, pours like a small Duvel, golden, with a large foamy head. Taste is akin to stem ginger cookies. Light bodied, sweet and spicy. Very nice treat. Thank You Radek Kliber.

Can 330 ml, Appearance: good bright golden brew with initial short lasting yet good looking white crown. Aroma: brisk lemony ginger aroma, light zesty sweet feel. 6- . Flavour/Palate: thin , light bodied brew. Fairly smooth , mildly carbonated. Good ginger character, slight flower like mellowness of saison. Very pleasant lighter ale.

Thank you Radek, and to your friend for bringing back from Japan. The aroma is ginger ale. Bubby head though quite light. A ginger taste, decent and not ginger ale. a medium mouthfeel. Suitable carbonated.

This is a Happoshu, meaning it has less than 25% malt, that includes unmalted barley, rice, corn, starch, and sugar. It also includes ginger extract to give it its flavor. Light yellow color. Rather thin looking, with a very thin head. Weak malt aroma, decent amount of ginger. Touch of hops. Flavor of light malts, grains, corn, and ginger. A bit of hops. Ginger is not overpowering, and with the thinness of the beer, I wish there was a bit more of it. Not too sweet, though (like Canada Dry?). Overall, it is drinkable and vaguely interesting. Not a real ginger ale, by any means, but certainly more interesting than your usual happoshu.
